We’re on a mission to open the first ever cat & game lounge in the Seattle metro area! Imagine a cozy, community-centered space where you can play your favorite tabletop or vintage video games, take part in themed events, and make new friends… all while hanging out with some of the coolest special needs cats in the entire world.
We’re combining our two favorite things: saving cats and playing games. If that sounds like your vibe, we’d love for you to be a part of the project. You can read more about some of our residents below
The best way to keep up to date is to follow us on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook at @catseyesociety. You’ll get updates, info about fundraisers, and of course tons of adorable cat content.
You can make a monetary contribution by donating to our campaign, which can be found HERE. We appreciate your support in bringing this dream to reality.

Meet (some of) the Cats

Serafina was born in with a condition called Spina Bifida to a community cat in Jersey City. Her colony caretaker noticed that she wasn’t developing like a typical cat, and reached out for help. Through a channel of dedicated cat people, Serafina found her way to sanctuary. She can typically be found watching the birds at the bird-feeder, chasing her buddies Mariel and Pearl, or dunking her favorite blue mouse toy in the water bowl.

Mariel (calico) and Pearl (tabby) are sisters by everything but blood. Mariel was born with deformed hind limbs and found herself at the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. Thanks to their dedication in finding rescue placement for the animals that need extra care, we were able to partner with them and bring her into our sanctuary. A few weeks later, Pearl was brought to a local shelter after being found on the side of a freeway unable to walk. Bree happened to be there to intercept, and Pearl made her way home. Mariel and Pearl instantly became inseparable, and spend their days wrestling, snuggling, and getting into mischief.

Cypress traveled to the PNW all the way from Beirut, Lebanon. After being found paralyzed and left outside their building, our friends at Animals Lebanon sent out a plea for help. Because adoptions for healthy “normal” animals are almost non-existant in Beirut, we agreed to take Cypress to sanctuary. This spirited boy is now living the dream and can often be found playing tag with his best pal Jiji.

Cats Eye Society’s Mission
We believe that all cats deserve to live in safety and comfort regardless of age, disability, or temperament. We take in the most vulnerable cats in the shelter system, who would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of resources. We provide education and support to our community, and dedicate our lives to a kinder, more compassionate future of animal welfare.

Meet the Founders

Bree (she/her)
Bree has seven years of experience in the animal welfare industry, including working in leadership roles at Best Friends Animal Society in Utah and Tabby’s Place: A Cat Sanctuary in New Jersey. The latter is where she first learned how to care for incontinent and paraplegic cats, and found her true calling.
Bree lives by the mantra “save as many as I can”, and spends nearly all of her time doing just that.
When she’s not changing cat diapers, she’s playing her favorite video game, Baldur’s Gate 3.

Foxx (they/them)
Foxx is trained mechanic, a video-game master, and a bonafide cat-whisperer. When Bree changed careers to pursue her passion for animal welfare, Foxx was thrilled to support her anyway they could. From bottle feeding neonate kittens, TNRing whole feral colonies, or driving to and from airports to transport kitties to safety, Foxx is a hero to the cats.
Foxx has a particular talent for creating a calm, safe environment for hospice kitties. All cats who come across their path are given an unparalleled level of love and meticulous care.
When they are not wrangling the foster kittens, Foxx is playing Dungeons & Dragons, Betrayal at House on the Hill, or Tornado Rex.
